Catch-up

no bs here, just the nitty gritty details.

-Our group's been able to meet once out of class, and there is no in class time available for groups to meet. Our next scheduled meeting is this weekend.
-We have a solid idea/pitch/focus and are in the process of solidifying an 8 week production schedule, thus coming to the end of pre-production. Our 8 week production schedule starts Feb 5, this allows for a short 4 week post production schedule so the final project is done at the end of the term.
-We are all working on scheduling different interviews, Melanie w/ P.E.T.A, Brittney w/ local vets & clincs, myself w/ Cesar Millan. We'll also want to conduct street interviews in dog parks, low income housing neighborhoods, and high income housing neighborhoods.
-A problem we'll encounter during post is condensing all our info down into a palatable and digestable form
-I'm excited about our group and our project. I think our production group shows enough strengths in enough areas that the finished project this term will be undoubtedly amazing! Research/Passion/Communication

Yea!! I really hope that the Caeser thing works out... I really love the way he connects with animals, and I'm sure that having him as an endorser of our project would be great! Hope we can get him... fingers crossed! I'm glad that you brought up the fact that we should practice on camera before we go to VA. Maybe we could get a camera and set something up this Sat. when we meet. We could all get on camera and talk about ideas, structure, etc. about our project on tape. We really need to look into lighting, sound, etc. as well... We want to be prepared for PETA!

Tonight at 6 on WECT there's supposed to be a special about animal control in wilmington, you should check it out. How are you getting ahold of the dog whisperer. Just remember if you do get to interview him, remain calm and assertive. I'm glad you guys are doing this as a topic, it's a really good cause and most people don't think twice about it. Hope it works out.

Definately check out the equipment and do a test run. Even a mock interview with a friend standing in as PETA would be useful. We'll be doing a demo in class, but may not be soon enough for your shoot, so feel free to check whatever you need out from Tony. Since this is your Senior Seminar...the door is wide open for you to use whatever you need.

I think it's a good idea how you have assigned each group member to get certain interviews, seems very efficient!

Keep it ups guys, you all seem well organized. Like I wrote on Brittney's blog, this is a hot topic around here and I am sure else where. Send it global, what's the big "5" or what not dealing with these issues?

I know i wrote this on brit's blog but your group jsut seems to be excelling in every direction. it is qutie evident that you are all pretty passionate about this topic and it is definitely showing early on. If anything I will be using your group as a motivator to keep up. Good luck with all your equipment too, it sounds as if that is your next big step.

I think that it would be nice if you could get Caesar mainly because of his pop culture connection. I think his name is becoming somewhat like the Crocodile Hunter: Domestic Style. So, It would be a great marketing tool as well for the film.
